Autumn and Grants Sliced Potatoes

This is a potatoe chip like recipe the kids and I created. Fun to make and I have to admit delicious.

- 3 medium potatoes sliced into about 1/8-1/4" sliced; I like to use a mandolin to do this
- 1 small onion sliced into similar sizes
- in a small dish combine about 1/4 cup olive oil, add in lots of salt, pepper, rosemary, any other seasoning you like and yet MOLASSES!! (this is Grants secret ingredient). You can also use butter but that is up to you. But the more seasoning you add the tastier it is. I like the premixed flavored salts from Whole Foods.

- arrange the potatoes in a dish kinda like your laying them on the side stacking them; I don't know how to say it feather them out in rows, I use my Le Crueset for this. Then brush the olive oil on top of the potatoes liberally. Stick in the oven about 350 and bake for about an hour. Then broil them at the end for a few minutes to make them a little more crunchy.

- you could at the very end also put cheese on top to give it a little edge.
